WHAT IS THEORY OF EDEN?
Theory of Eden is an online boutique featuring home linen and home decor. Most of the pieces that we carry have been handcrafted by local artisans in India.
WHO ARE THE ARTISANS BEHIND THEORY OF EDEN?
We work closely with local artisans from rural West Bengal, India, who have years of experience in embroidery, cross-stitchting, crochet work, etc. They work in the comfort of their homes and produce magic on textiles and linen. When you buy from our store, you not only own a limited edition piece, you also help support and empower these artisans.
IS EVERYTHING ON YOUR STORE HANDCRAFTED?
We buy our textiles and towels from reputed Indian brands like Bombay Dyeing etc., and design creations in our studio in Kolkata, India. Our artisans then weave their magic on linen and use both hand and machine embroidery work to produce finished pieces. Thus all products are made in small numbers to give each of them the finest respect.
WHY DOES THE PRODUCT I ORDERED LOOK DIFFERENT FROM THE WEBSITE IMAGE?
As our products are handcrafted, the colour, shape, size and design will vary slightly from time to time.
WHAT ARE THE PAYMENT METHODS?
We offer the following methods:
Online Payment via Credit and Debit Cards and PayPal.
Offline Payment (only India) via bank transfers or Cash on Delivery. Please select the offline payment option and let us know in the "Notes to Seller" section whether you wish to complete a bank transfer or avail Cash on Delivery. In the case of bank transfers, you will have to complete the transfer before your order can be shipped.

ARE THERE ANY SHIPPING CHARGES?
We ship using reliable partners with complete tracking information. For deliveries within India, there is a flat shipping charge of Rs. 100/-. For international deliveries, we charge Rs. 600/-. These may be subject to change.
Please note, that we are not responsible for any charges that your customs office may place upon the order.
HOW LONG WILL SHIPPING TAKE?
We aim to ship out orders within 24-36 hours of receiving them. Domestic orders within India should reach within 3-5 working days. International orders should reach their destination within 7-10 working days.
With customised or pre-order items, we will ship them as soon as they are ready.
HOW CAN I TRACK MY ORDER?
We will send you a tracking code along with a tracking link once the order has been shipped to the e-mail and phone number used for the order.
CANCELLATIONS, RETURNS AND REFUNDS
HOW DO I CANCEL MY ORDER?
You may change/cancel your order if it has not been dispatched. To do so, please get in touch with our team on +91 8583907626 via WhatsApp Messaging or e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org with your order number and your request. You will need to do so as soon as possible as orders are sometimes shipped immediately.
WHAT DO I DO IF I RECEIVE A DEFECTIVE OR DAMAGED PRODUCT?
We quality control all our shipping and packaging processes, but in rare circumstances, if you do receive a damaged, defective/wrong product or an incomplete order, simply get in touch with us within 24 hours of receiving your order with pictures at email@example.com and we will take care of the rest.
HOW DO I INITIATE A RETURN?
We strive to offer you the best shopping experience possible. If however, you are not satisfied with your order, you can exchange or return your order within 15 days of receiving it.

Please Note - There is no return/exchange possible with customised products or those marked for final sale/discounts.
DO YOU OFFER REVERSE PICK UP?
We offer reverse pick up services for our customers in India. Simply e-mail us email@example.com with the details and we will inform you when your order is ready for pick up. Please return the products in its original packaging with all the tags and original bills, and print out the pick up sheet that will be sent to you by e-mail. In case your pincode is not serviceable, you will have to ship the package directly to us and we will reimburse you with Rs. 100 as store credit, which will be valid for a year.
International customers will need to ship the products back to us at their own cost. You will get a credit voucher of the product value you paid minus the shipping costs, which is valid for a year. Customs duties, taxes, clearance and handling fees are non-refundable as they are paid to third parties.

You will get a credit voucher for the amount you paid which will be valid for a year.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO PROCESS MY RETURN?
It will take 15-25 days for us to process your return and for you to get your replacement or store credit.
